2007 Ford Focus OBD Codes P0607, P2110, P2122, P2138: Throttle System Faults and Engine Warning Light Issues

Model: 2007 Ford Focus Fault Code: P0607 Posted: 2018-11-07 16:00

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but have a 2007 Ford Focus with recurring engine warning light issues. The check engine light has been on for several days, then goes off unexpectedly. Sometimes when starting the car, a red 'Engine System Fault' message appears — it disappears after turning the vehicle off and back on. I took it to the garage today, where they retrieved OBD-II diagnostic codes: - P0607: CONTROL MODULE PERFORMANCE (indicates potential ECU or throttle control module issue) - P2110: THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM FORCED LIMITED RPM (suggests throttle actuator is restricting engine speed) - P2122: THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR SWITCH 'D' CIRCUIT — possible sensor or wiring fault - P2或P2138: THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR SWITCH D/E VOLTAGE — indicates inconsistent voltage readings between sensors While the car generally drives fine, I occasionally feel a noticeable drop in power, especially during acceleration. The symptoms are inconsistent and not always present. The garage suggested these codes could point to various causes, ranging from simple sensor issues to more expensive ECU or throttle body problems. They recommended taking it to a Ford dealership for professional diagnostics due to the complexity of the system. I'm hoping for insights from other 2007 Ford Focus owners who've faced similar issues — any experience with these specific codes or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave
