2007 Dodge Caliber P0218 P0741 P0776: Transmission and Engine Light Issues After Replacement

Model: 2007 Dodge Caliber Fault Code: P0218 Posted: 2016-04-07 16:14

I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber that recently had the transmission replaced. Since then, the check engine light and transmission oil warning light have come on. The vehicle enters safe mode, and the fault codes detected are P0218, P0741, and P0776. Despite replacing the transmission with a new one and installing a new TCM (Transmission Control Module), the issue persists. The car has been in the shop for six months, and I'm still paying off the vehicle. No resolution has been found. Can anyone provide insight or guidance on how to resolve these persistent codes?

This issue should be addressed at a Dodge dealer, as proper reflashing of the TCM/PCM is required. There exists a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for new TCM and PCM units — #18-006-07 Rev. B. The TSB includes specific troubleshooting procedures that must be followed. Dealerships have access to the latest diagnostic software, which is essential for accurate code interpretation and repair. • P0218: High Temperature Operation Activated • P0741: Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance Issue • P0776: Secondary Pressure Solenoid Stuck Off (High Pressure)
