The vehicle is currently displaying diagnostic trouble codes P2279 and P0055. P0055 is indeed recognized as a valid code for the 2006 VW Passat 3.6L engine, though it may indicate a faulty oxygen sensor or wiring issue in the exhaust system. P2279 relates to the throttle body position sensor and has several Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) available — however, these are not always free. I recommend visiting an authorized Volkswagen dealer for accurate diagnosis and access to official TSBs. It's a known issue on this model, especially with airflow anomalies near the intake.
