2006 Mercedes R500 P2034 Fault Code: Diagnosis and PCM Check

Model: 2006 Mercedes R500 Fault Code: P2034 Posted: 2016-10-27 19:17

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forum. I currently have a 2006 Mercedes R50-0 with a persistent P2034 fault code. I've already replaced the crankshaft position sensor (CKP), checked all wiring and connectors — everything appears to be in good condition. My previous attempt involved having a friend inside the vehicle, who accidentally chewed up several wires; after repairing all damaged connections, the issue persisted. At this point, my next step is to test the resistance of the wiring harness connected to the CKP at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). I'm planning to check the PCM-side resistances tomorrow and will update if it's a faulty PCM or another component causing the P2034 code. Any advice or experiences with this specific fault on the 2006 R500 would be greatly appreciated.
