Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forum. I recently encountered a P0610 diagnostic trouble code on my 2006 Jeep Cherokee or Liberty CRD with a manual transmission (Euro model). The vehicle was scanned using an external scanner, which detected the P0610 error — indicating a vehicle options mismatch where the system incorrectly identifies the transmission type (manual labeled as automatic and vice versa). Unfortunately, the scanner could not clear this code. I'm seeking advice on possible causes, troubleshooting steps, or solutions for this specific issue in my model year and region.
