I recently encountered a P0299 diagnostic code on my 2006 Ford F350 diesel engine. The issue occurred only during startup, when the turbocharger was not under load (engine at idle). I cleared the code and have not seen it reappear after multiple starts. Given that the turbo is not operating heavily in this scenario, I'm unsure why this fault code appears.
