2006 Ford Explorer Sputters and Check Engine Light P1633 - Wrench Indicator After 2-3 Miles
My 2006 Ford Explorer is experiencing intermittent sputtering and engine stalling while driving, with the check engine light illuminating during startup. The wrench warning light appears after approximately 2 to 3 miles, causing the engine to sputter and occasionally shut off. A diagnostic trouble code P1633 has been detected. I'm seeking advice on potential causes and solutions related to this issue.
Check all fuses, especially those related to the charging system and battery. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is detecting a voltage anomaly in the KAM circuit. If your vehicle is equipped with a remote starter, please let us know—this could be a contributing factor.
