I'm experiencing a U0073 fault code on my 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. This code indicates a communication failure on the control module's bus network. I've checked and no other diagnostic codes are present, but I cannot clear the U0073 code due to this issue. A user suggested there might be a wire break in the system. Given that the control module connectors are frequently bent when removing the battery cover, I suspect one of these connections could be faulty. My question is: How do I safely remove the control module plugs? Which specific connector relates to the communication bus? These connectors have a complex locking mechanism, and I'm concerned about damaging them during removal. Is my suspicion valid?
