I've inspected the wiring between the injector connector and the main harness, and there's no visible damage. I performed a wiggle test while the system was powered, with no change in readings. The rough running occurs specifically between 60-70 mph; at lower or higher speeds, the engine runs smoothly.
P0208 indicates a fault in injector number 8's control circuit. If ignition components were replaced due to P0208, this may be incorrect—since the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) would disable the #8 injector if an ignition issue is detected. To troubleshoot further, use a DC voltmeter and test light with pin probes to check the injector control circuit and PCM driver signals at both the injector connector and the PCM.
Check the injector circuit wires (light blue and red/yellow) about an inch to several inches back from the connector for fraying, breaks, or damage. Perform a wiggle test on the wire and connector to identify intermittent faults. A rough idle that improves as the engine warms up is indicative of an intermittent electrical issue.
