2005 Jeep Wrangler P0480, P0443, and P0499 Codes: Causes and Fixes for Check Engine Light
I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.4L engine and 6-speed transmission. The check engine light is on, and my OBD2 scan shows three trouble codes: P0480, P0443, and P0499. I've tried clearing the codes, but they return immediately. Can someone please explain what these codes mean and what could be causing them? Is it a problem with the ECU/PCM or more likely related to wiring? P0480 - Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit P0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit P0499 - NVLD CANISTER VENT VALVE SOLENOID CIRCUIT HIGH
What year is your Jeep? The presence of 'CIRCUIT' in all three codes suggests a wiring-related issue. P0443: Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit P0480: Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit P0499: NVLD CANISTER VENT VALVE SOLENOID CIRCUIT HIGH
