Hi, I'm Luis. I own a 2005 Hyundai Tucson, and at least once every month, the car fails to start and requires a jump boost. The OBD-II diagnostic code displayed is P0306. This has been recurring despite troubleshooting common issues such as battery health, alternator function, parasitic drain, and even replacing the starter and timing belt. I'm now considering replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and coil to address potential ignition system faults related to code P0306. If this resolves the issue, I'll update here. Thanks, Kev. We've already checked the alternator, replaced the battery and starter, and changed the timing belt — but the issue persists. The car still fails to start at least once a month. Consider using a professional-grade OBD-II scanner — some cheaper 'code readers' may not detect or accurately report certain fault codes like P0306.

I found that the alternator brushes needed replacement, and after fixing them, the car started reliably. Now I'm seeing a new issue: code P0159 — where are the oxygen sensors located on this model?
