2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L Transmission Stuck in 3rd Gear with P0750 and P0700 Codes

Model: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7 Fault Code: P0700 Posted: 2016-05-28 13:24

My 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L has been experiencing transmission slipping, and recently it's stuck in third gear. After replacing the transmission with one from a 2006 model, the issue persists. The vehicle now throws two diagnostic trouble codes: P0750 (Shift Solenoid A Malfunction) and P0700 (Transmission Control System malfunction). I've done some research and found that shift solenoids may need cleaning or replacement. However, I'm unsure whether reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) can resolve the P0700 code. Are there any other potential causes for this issue? I've used all-new transmission fluid, so I'm confident the fluid isn-\'t the problem. I simply want my car to shift properly and avoid being stuck in third gear—especially when merging onto highways. This is not only inconvenient but also significantly impacts fuel efficiency. Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
