Recently purchased a 2005 Ford Mustang GT with 53,000 miles. The vehicle exhibits low idle speed, especially when the air conditioning is engaged. When accelerating, the car hesitates noticeably. The check engine light is illuminated and the fault code P0506 (Low Idle Air Control) has been detected. This issue may be related to the idle air control valve or throttle body malfunction.

I have successfully resolved the P050或 issue on multiple Ford Mustang GTs by cleaning the throttle body. This is a common fix for vehicles with this fault code and idle problems.
