2005 Ford Five Hundred Multiple Misfire Codes: P0300, P0303, P0306, P0354, P0355, P0356 and P2544 - Troubleshooting Guide

Model: 2005 Ford Five Hundred Fault Code: P0300 Posted: 2012-02-25 16:43

My 2005 Ford Five Hundred with a 6-speed automatic transmission and 3.0 L 6-cylinder engine is showing multiple misfire codes: P0300, P0303, P0306, P0354, P0-355, and P0356. The vehicle runs very rough but can still start and drive. Additionally, I have a P2544 code, which has a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) available—however, the TSB recommends addressing all other misfire codes before resolving this one. I'm looking for clear guidance on where to begin troubleshooting these issues.

Begin with testing the spark plugs and coils, as misfire codes like P0354, P0355, and P0356 often point to faulty ignition components. Refer to OBD-II code explanations for more details: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0354
