P0301 and 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan

Model: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan Fault Code: P0301 Posted: 2008-02-11 09:38

I have a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan 3.8l with 57000 miles and I have been getting a code P0301. I have changed spark plugs, wires and ignition coil. Then clear all codes then the code will pop up after a month or two. I can clear it aging but will come back in a month. Help… Stu

Check the compression and the injector wiring to that cylinder! Valves are somewhat common on the newer 3.3's and 3.8's. Assuming the correct plugs and good wires are used!

Can you tell me what should I do? Take in to see the Chrysler dealer. Do you think maybe they can program the ECU to fix this? Can I check the compression using my OBD2 All-In-One Scan Tool? If so how? Thanks Stu

There is a tsb for misfires on Caravans that involves nmew plugs, wires and updating the pcm. It's not a recall however. I'd take into the dealer
