2005 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L Engine Codes P1075, P1072, P0101, P102, P172, P0175 - Causes and Fixes in Cold Weather
I own a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with a 5.3L engine and a K&N cold air intake (CAI). When outdoor temperatures drop below freezing, my vehicle triggers multiple engine diagnostic codes: P1075, P1072, P0101, P102, P172, and P0175. These codes do not appear when the weather warms up. I'm looking for a clear explanation of what causes these codes in cold conditions and how to resolve them permanently. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Removing the K&N cold air intake (CAI) and reverting to stock components may help, as cold temperatures can affect airflow sensor readings. Additionally, cleaning the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor is recommended to ensure accurate air flow detection under low-temperature conditions.
