2004 Kia Sedona, p0431, p0122

Model: 2004 Kia Sedona Fault Code: P0122 Posted: 2014-02-04 13:28

Replaced tp sensor last August after registering a p0122. Weather got colder (frequently below zero), van seemed to be sluggish on acceleration, thought it was the cold weather and icy roads. Last weekend had to slam on brakes to avoid slow moving vehicle that a passing semi revealed last minute (thank you).. after releasing brake van revved up (foot on neither pedal). A mile or two later engine light comes on. Came up as p0431 and p0122. Could this be related to a bad replacement sensor? Faulty wiring? Other than a bad door lock, Van has no other problems.

Disconnect the sensor and measure connector from PCM for correct voltage. If no voltage then either wiring or PCM suspect.
