My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0L engine is running well most of the time, but it occasionally cuts out, causing some gauges to stop working. When I release the accelerator pedal, the vehicle usually stabilizes—sometimes for hours. However, if I reapply gas, it may immediately cut out again. I've already replaced the fuel pump, and the issue persists. The OBD2 scanner now shows trouble codes P0351, P0352, and P0353 during key-on checks. No visible damage or loose wiring has been found. These symptoms have been occurring for several months, but the fault codes only appeared today. Any insight into what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Start with a free OBD2 scan to confirm current codes and monitor live data. For P0351-P0353 (coil side issues), inspect the engine wiring harness where it runs behind the cylinder head near the coil connector—this area is prone to wire abrasion or damage.

Thanks! I'll have the vehicle scanned tomorrow. If a crankshaft or camshaft position sensor, or PCM were faulty, would those also trigger fault codes?

Yes, such components would generate corresponding error codes. However, without further diagnostic testing and data analysis, it's not reasonable to assume these are the root cause at this stage.

The vehicle was taken to a shop today. They diagnosed a faulty coil pack and crankshaft position sensor, replaced both parts, but after driving two miles, it stalled again and began cutting out intermittently. The issue persists despite the repairs.

What does 'T and B' refer to? Was an OBD2 scan performed? What specific codes are currently showing? Were any recent modifications made—such as new spark plugs, fuel filters, or other components?
