2004 Honda Accord Idle Air Control Valve Connector Replacement Guide

Model: 2004 Honda Accord Fault Code: P0507 Posted: 2017-01-02 16:26

I'm trying to fix the electrical plug connected to the idle air control valve (IAC) on my 2004 Honda Accord. When I unplugged it, one wire came loose. I temporarily reinserted the wire using a safety pin, but the car still makes the same idle noise. I'm now considering replacing the entire IAC valve assembly. Can anyone advise on how to properly reconnect the connector or where to find a compatible replacement for the IAC electrical plug?

Check if your Honda dealership carries a replacement electrical connector for the idle air control valve. Alternatively, NAPA or other auto parts stores may carry an IAC controller connector that fits your model year.

Do you know the exact part name? I've been searching online and can't find a specific match for the connector on my 2004 Honda Accord.

The correct term is 'electrical connector' or 'pigtail' — these are the small connectors that attach to the idle air control valve (IAC).
