P0130 and P0170 O2 Sensor Faults in 2004 GMC Envoy XUV - Diagnosis and Solutions

Model: 2004 GMC Envoy XUV Fault Code: P0130 Posted: 2017-01-05 09:34

My 2004 GMC Envoy XUV is displaying OBD2 diagnostic codes P0130 and P0170. I'm trying to identify the exact locations of the two oxygen (O2) sensors on this vehicle and understand what these codes typically indicate. Can anyone provide accurate information about where each sensor is located and what common causes might lead to these faults?

I'm experiencing hesitation and stalling while driving my 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. I've already cleaned the throttle body and mass air flow sensor, but the issue persists. Any suggestions on further diagnostics or potential causes? Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the fuel trims? A possible cause could be low fuel pressure. The O2 sensors in question are located at the exhaust manifold and after the catalytic converter—make sure to review live sensor readings before replacing any components, as faulty readings may point to a misdiagnosis.
