I'm currently experiencing an intermittent P0720 diagnostic trouble code, which indicates a fault in the output shaft speed sensor circuit. When this code is detected, the engine begins to misfire and eventually stalls—whether the truck is idling at a stop or when shifting into gear. The check engine light and transmission warning light both illuminate, with the shifter light flashing intermittently. I have already replaced the output shaft speed sensor, but the P0720 code persists. Notably, the speedometer has not malfunctioned, which suggests the issue may lie elsewhere in the transmission or related electrical system.
