How to Fix P0351, P0356, and P0506 Codes on a 2004 Ford F150 4.6L Engine

Model: 2004 F150 4.6 Fault Code: P0351 Posted: 2017-04-06 17:01

I'm experiencing persistent trouble codes P0351 (Ignition Coil 'A'), P0356 (Ignition Coil 'F'), and P0506 (Air Control System - RPM Lower Than Expected) on my 2004 Ford F-150 with a 4.6L V8 engine. I've recently replaced both the battery and alternator, and I've already swapped out the spark plugs and coil packs for cylinders A and F. Despite these repairs, the codes remain active. What should I check next to resolve this issue? The vehicle has 244,000 miles on the odometer.

Check for 12 volts at the ignition coil terminals, ensure the connector is securely attached and free from corrosion or bent pins. Also verify that all wiring connections are tight and properly grounded. Specifically: P0351 relates to cylinder 1, and P0356 corresponds to cylinder 6.
