2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI P0113 and P2099 Fault Code - Oil Change Aftermath

Model: 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi Fault Code: P0113 Posted: 2011-02-10 14:46

I own a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L HEMI 4x4 pickup truck. This is my girlfriend's vehicle, and I recently performed a routine oil change as I always do. After changing the oil, I started the engine to check for leaks. The oil pressure initially reached normal levels. However, after running at idle for 5 to 7 minutes, the engine began to misfire, sputter, and eventually died. Since then, the truck will not start without holding the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor. When attempting to start, it bucks, shakes violently, and runs poorly. The vehicle ran perfectly before this oil change. I'm concerned about what might have caused these issues—especially given the presence of fault codes P0113 and P2099. Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. My girlfriend is currently driving it while I’m in my old hunting wagon, and I’d like to get this truck back running properly.
