I recently filled up my 2004 Dodge Neon and drove it one block. When I returned and tried to start the car, the malfunction indicator light turned on. I verified that the gas cap was securely fastened, and the diagnostic tool shows code P0430. The vehicle runs smoothly under normal conditions, but when I attempt to accelerate, it suddenly loses power and cuts out. This issue appears to be related to the catalytic converter or exhaust system performance. I'm seeking advice on how to diagnose and fix this problem. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
