2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction: Where Is the O2 Heater Fuse?

Model: 2004 dodge neon srt-4 Fault Code: P0141 Posted: 2014-03-19 13:38

I recently replaced the O2 sensors on my 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4, but I'm still receiving the P0141 code — O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2). I was advised that this could be caused by a faulty heater fuse or wiring issue. However, I cannot locate the specific O2 sensor heater fuse in my vehicle. Can anyone confirm where the O2 heater fuse is located on a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4? Additionally, are there any known compatibility issues between OEM and aftermarket O2 sensors that might trigger this code?

First thought: Did you install the correct O2 sensor (from a Dodge dealer) or an aftermarket unit with generic wiring? The heater circuit for the O2 sensor receives 12V from the PCM via the brn/org or brn/org wire, with ground provided by the black wire. You can verify this using a digital multimeter (DVOM). Make sure you're testing the correct sensor — this is specifically the post-cat O2 sensor in Bank 1, Sensor 2.
