My 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid has a check engine light illuminated. The diagnostic codes displayed are P0135 (Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater Circuit) and U0110 or V0110 (Unable to Communicate with Motor A). The warning light is not active, and the vehicle has been driven approximately 700 miles without the hybrid assist system engaging. I have replaced the 12-volt battery with a new one, as the car was purchased in this condition and I am unaware of its previous status. The U0110/V01-10 code appears to reset occasionally but returns shortly after. What should I check first to resolve this issue?
