2004 Buick LeSaber code P0480

Hello all, I just joined the forum today. I got a 2004 Buick LeSabre with a 3800engine. My check engine light went on and I took it to the local auto parts store. They told me it was a simple fix and sold me a No 1 fan relay. I swapped them out and took it back and they reset the computer . A few days later it was back on. The car seems to have no problems. It runs great. The A/C is super cold the temp gauge is right in the middle.Has any one else had a problem like this??

part store clerks will ALWAYS recommend a new part. Thats why they do free scans. first in box where you replaced relay- check fuse #46 a thirty amp- CHECK it don;t just look at it! tell us which fan is running ? driver left side or passenger right side?

Hi Kev2, .I checked out the fuse No 46 and it was blown. Also the driver's side fan was working but the passenger side was off. I guess it's time to go buy a new fuse. This is a pretty big fuse. I wonder why the fuse blew?? Thank you so much. If you got any more suggestions please let me know.

get more than 1 fuse install hopefully a one time issue if it blows trouble shooting time thats the diagnostic part WHY did fuse blow, checking the fan motor amp draw, look over the wiring for rub thru or chaffing etc.'
