2003 Nissan Sentra P0300 Random Misfire After Multiple Component Replacements

Model: 2003 Nissan Sentra Fault Code: P0300 Posted: 2013-09-11 05:38

Over the past two months, I have replaced the gas cap, fuel pump, spark plugs, and three ignition coils. Yesterday, I also changed the camshaft position sensor filter. Despite these changes, my 2003 Nissan Sentra is not starting and now displays a P0300 code indicating a random/multiple misfire. I'm wondering what could be causing this issue despite replacing several key components.

It's recommended to perform diagnostics before replacing parts randomly. Have you checked for other fault codes, fuel pressure, fuel pressure leak-down rate, and the basic systems (such as fuel delivery, ignition timing, and sensor readings)? It would also be helpful to know whether the replaced components were original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Nissan parts or aftermarket. Additionally, 'three starter coils' may actually refer to ignition coils—please confirm this. The term 'cam position filter' is likely a misstatement; it should probably be 'camshaft position sensor,' as there is no such thing as a cam position filter in vehicle systems.
