2003 Nissan Altima P0507 Throttle Relearn Issue: How to Fix After Throttle Body Replacement

Model: 2003 Nissan Altima Fault Code: P0507 Posted: 2018-10-15 07:30

My 2003 Nissan Altima is displaying fault code P0507 after replacing the throttle body. I've tried performing a throttle relearn using an OBD2 scanner, but the process fails repeatedly. Is there any other adjustment or procedure I should try to successfully complete the relearn? The vehicle has been driven normally since the replacement, and no other symptoms are present.

The throttle relearn process is highly sensitive to timing intervals—even with a stopwatch, technicians often need multiple attempts to succeed. A few months ago, I worked on a 2004 Nissan Titan that refused to accept a relearn. Before turning it over to the dealer, I suggested disconnecting the battery and holding the terminals together for 30 seconds (a global reset), then retrying the relearn procedure. That successfully resolved the issue.
