2003 GMC Sierra 4WD DTC P0466: Can I Drive It on an 8,000-Mile Road Trip?
I'm planning a 8,000-mile road trip with a travel trailer and currently have a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD that has triggered DTC P0466. I don't have time to visit the shop before departure. My question is: Is it safe to drive this vehicle now, or could the fault cause issues during long-distance travel? If so, when should I schedule repairs after the trip? Thank you, Randy
You can perform repairs after the trip. Try resetting the DTC P0460 and conduct a second drive cycle to test the system's response. This may help verify if the issue resolves on its own or persists.
