2002 VW Jetta 1.8T Fault Codes: P0171, P0201-P0204, P0010, and P1850 Explained

Model: 2002 VW Jetta Fault Code: P1836 Posted: 2011-09-22 21:37

I recently encountered a persistent issue with my 2002 VW Jetta 1.8T and am seeking advice on how to interpret the fault codes that appeared unexpectedly while driving. The check engine light (MIL) came on suddenly, and although I don't notice any obvious performance issues—such as stalling or loss of power—the vehicle is displaying multiple diagnostic trouble codes at once. I took it to AutoZone for a code readout, and the results are: - P0171: System too lean Bank 1 - P0201: Injector circuit open - Cylinder 1 - P0202: Injector circuit open - Cylinder 2 - P-than 3: Injector circuit open - Cylinder 3 - P0204: Injector circuit open - Cylinder 4 - P0010: Camshaft position actuator circuit (Bank 1) - P1850: Data Bus Powertrain missing message from engine control module All codes were detected simultaneously. As a non-expert in automotive diagnostics, I'm looking for clear explanations and potential solutions to resolve these issues. Any insights or suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
