2002 Trailblazer LTZ Jet-like Noise and P1481/P1484 Diagnostic Help
I own a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ and have had it for approximately three years. It has generally been a reliable vehicle. Recently, I've noticed an unusual jet engine-like noise coming from the engine bay, along with significantly reduced fuel efficiency. We recently replaced the water pump, fan clutch, and radiator due to a minor leak. After disconnecting all electrical components and clearing the fault codes, the noise persisted. When we ran diagnostics again, the vehicle displayed error codes P1481 and P1484. I'm looking for advice on what these codes mean and how to resolve the issue. Any experience with similar problems in a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ? Thanks in advance.
P1481 indicates a fault in the cooling fan speed sensor circuit, while P1484 points to poor performance of the cooling fan system. The first step should be inspecting the wiring and electrical connections related to the fan control module to ensure there are no shorts or loose connections.
