2002 PT Cruiser P1193 Fault: High Voltage Sensor Issue After Replacement

Model: 2002 PT Cruiser Fault Code: P1193 Posted: 2016-12-08 19:04

My 2002 PT Cruiser is displaying fault code P1193, indicating a high voltage issue with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. I have already replaced the sensor, but the problem persists. The vehicle now fails to idle properly once it reaches operating temperature. This suggests either a wiring issue or a deeper electronic component failure.

Same issue on my 2002 PT Cruiser with P1193 code - high voltage detected after replacing the IAT sensor. The car now won't idle smoothly once it reaches normal operating temperature. Could there be a wiring harness or ECU calibration problem?

What is the voltage reading at the IAT sensor? - With sensor connected, perform a KOEO (Key On, Engine Off) test. - Measure voltage on probe BK/RD - Measure voltage on probe BK/LB Vehicle is stock configuration with no CAI installed.
