2002 Mondeo Diesel P2338 P1211 P025-1 P1102 C1123 C1312 - Intermittent Preheat Light, Engine Hesitation and Loss of Power
My 2002 Mondeo Diesel is showing multiple fault codes: P2338 (Cylinder 3 Injector Issue), P1211 (Pressure Control Injector Out of Range), P0251 (Diesel Injection Pump Control A Fault), P1102 (Mass Air Flow Sensor Reading Below Expected), C1123 (Short to Battery at Front Speed Sensor Input), and C1312 (Front Brake Pressure Sensor Fault). The vehicle exhibits intermittent preheating light activation, engine hesitation during idle, especially when stopped at junctions, and a noticeable loss of power while driving. I initially suspected a faulty injector in cylinder 3 and performed ultrasonic cleaning followed by re-coding using Autocom Delphi software. I am unsure whether to code the injectors in sequential order (1-2-3-4) or firing order (1-3-4-2). After addressing several issues, the number of active codes has reduced from 17 to just one persistent P2338. However, I still need clarity on proper coding procedure and whether the remaining faults are related to injector performance or sensor calibration. Any insights into these specific fault codes, especially regarding injection control, MAF readings, and electrical shorting issues at the speed sensor, would be greatly appreciated.
My car starts smoothly and runs well under normal conditions. However, when idling at junctions for extended periods, it hesitates and cuts out momentarily—then restarts immediately. The only codes present are P1211 and P0251. I recently replaced the pump pressure sensor and the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) sensor. Still experiencing issues—any further suggestions?
