I recently received the following OBD2 diagnostic codes on my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado: P0171 (Rich Air-Fuel Mixture), P0300 (Random Misfire), and P0332 (Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction - pending). The truck will not crank or start — it simply won't turn over. I initially suspected a faulty fuel pump, as there's a small valve on the gas line that my wife tried to operate when attempting to start it, but no fuel came out. Could this be related to the fuel pump? I'm looking for confirmation and troubleshooting steps to diagnose whether the issue is mechanical or electrical.

Start by checking fuel pressure using a gauge — record the PSI reading and share it. A low or absent fuel pressure could explain both the starting failure and the P0332 code. The P0332 fault is typically related to a faulty knock sensor, which should be addressed once the engine starts running. Fuel starvation or low pressure can trigger this diagnostic trouble code.
