P0410 Diagnostic and Fuse Location for 2002 Chevy S-10 2WD 4-Cylinder

Model: 2002 Chevy S-10 2WD 4-cylinder Fault Code: P0410 Posted: 2015-04-12 15:00

I own a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 2WD, short wheelbase (SWB), equipped with a 4-cylinder Vortex engine. My vehicle has triggered a P0416 fault code (corrected to P0410 for consistency with standard OBD-II codes). I'm looking for the exact location of the fuse for the Secondary Air Injection System. If possible, a diagram or photo showing its placement would be very helpful. Is it located in the engine bay fuse box? If so, which specific fuse corresponds to this system? Any guidance on troubleshooting steps would also be appreciated.

Located at the front of the engine bay, near the radiator support on the driver's side. Common issues include blown fuses, faulty relays, or a seized air pump. Always check these components before assuming system failure.

Thanks for the input, Kev. I've confirmed that the fuses are intact, so I don't currently have concerns about electrical issues. The check engine light is not illuminated and I reside in a state without emission inspections. That said, I'm still curious about why the P0410 code appeared—any insights on possible causes would be helpful.

It's important to identify the root cause of the P0410 code—even if not urgent now. If future emission testing becomes mandatory, this diagnosis will be valuable. Also, keep an eye out for Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), as replacement parts may become unavailable over time.
