2001 Mazda MPV P0301, P0102, P0113, P0300, P0122, P0108 - Check Engine Light & Sputtering Fix Help

Model: 2001 Mazda MPV Fault Code: P0102 Posted: 2018-03-21 06:47

I recently replaced the MAF sensor, coil pack, ignition switch, and throttle position sensor on my 2001 Mazda MPV. Despite these upgrades, the vehicle continues to sputter, exhibit high idle, and display a persistent check engine light that flashes intermittently. The van also lacks power under load. I've tried multiple fixes but am still unable to resolve this issue. Can anyone provide guidance or troubleshooting steps for these specific fault codes (P0301, P0102, P0113, P0300, P0122, P0108) on a 2001 Mazda MPV? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Please scan the vehicle and post all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for accurate diagnosis. Common troubleshooting steps include checking for vacuum leaks, performing a fuel pressure test (record PSI), and conducting a KOEO (Key On, Engine Off) observation to monitor fuel pressure drop—ideally, check if it drops more than X psi within 5 minutes.

Hi, I'm experiencing a similar issue on my 2006 Mazda MPV LX. The P0122 code — 'Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input' — appears to trigger multiple misfire and performance issues. My vehicle stutters at idle, and the codes were initially linked to coil pack failures and misfires. Possible causes include damaged wiring leading to false sensor readings, vacuum or exhaust leaks, or even a faulty engine control module (ECM), which can cost around $700 for replacement. I'm still troubleshooting this myself; some forums suggest the pedal position sensor might be at fault. I'll update if I find a solution. Thanks for sharing — any success with your 2001 model would be helpful to others facing similar problems.
