2001 Jeep Cherokee Running Rough with Misfire: P0352, P0351, P0300, P1391 Diagnostic Help

Model: 2001 Jeep Cherokee Fault Code: P0300 Posted: 2019-04-18 13:48

I'm reaching out for help as I've just started using the internet a few years ago and am not very familiar with online forums. I'm 58 years old and really need some guidance. My 2001 Jeep Cherokee is running rough and experiencing misfires. I've checked the engine and noticed several diagnostic trouble codes: P0352, P0352, P0351, P0300, P0301, and P1391. I'm not sure where to start—could someone please help me understand what these codes mean and how to address them? I'd also appreciate any advice on troubleshooting the engine misfire or related sensor issues. If possible, a phone call might be helpful as I'm having trouble communicating via text. My phone number is 586-873-8836.

Start by addressing the P1391 code, which indicates an intermittent loss of signal from the Camshaft Position (CMP) or Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor. Before replacing any sensors, inspect the wiring harness, connectors, and circuits for damage or corrosion. This issue may be causing the other misfire codes. Additionally, check the wiring and connections to the coils for cylinders #2 and #3, as these are frequently involved in misfire problems on this model.
