P0172 OBD2 Code in 2001 Ford Taurus After Heater Core Replacement
After replacing the heater core in my 2001 Ford Taurus, I'm now seeing the P0172 diagnostic trouble code. The vacuum system appears to be functioning correctly, and I disconnected the battery during the heater core replacement. Does the engine control module (ECM) require a specific driving duration to reset after reconnection? Or is there another step I should take to clear or resolve this code?
P0172 indicates a rich fuel condition in the engine system. Was this code present before the heater core replacement? For more details, refer to OBD-II code P0172 explanation at http://www.obd-codes.com/p0172
