2001 Ford Escort ABS Fault Codes C1246, C1242, C1210, C1194, C1254, C1250 and P0304 - Diagnosis and Fixes
I recently purchased a used 2001 Ford Escort and have been scanning the vehicle using an OBD-II scanner. The system reports several fault codes: C1246, C1242, C1210, C1194, C1254, C1250, and P0304. I have already replaced the coil packs. Tomorrow, I plan to replace the spark plugs—this should address the P0304 code indicating a misfire in cylinder 4. Regarding the ABS-related codes (C1246, C1242, C1210, C1194, C1254, C1250), I'm wondering if these are simply due to disconnected ABS sensor clips or whether they point to faulty sensors or wiring. The wheel bearings appear to be in good condition and show no signs of wear or noise. Any insights on how to properly diagnose and resolve these codes? Are the ABS modules themselves failing, or can a simple reconnection fix the issue?
