My check engine light turned on, and after driving for some time, I noticed my transmission was not shifting smoothly. Using an OBD-II scanner, I retrieved two error codes: P0700 (Transmission Control System Malfunction) and P0787 (Shift/Timing Solenoid Low). These codes indicate a problem with the transmission control system and specifically with the shift/timing solenoid.
