2001 Dodge Caravan P1684 Code: Battery Disconnected or Faulty Connection?
I've searched through the forum extensively but haven't found a post exactly like my situation. On September 14, I started noticing the malfunction indicator light (located next to the turn signal flasher at the top of the dashboard). Using the 'key off and on' method, I retrieved diagnostic code P1684, which according to the manual means "battery disconnected within the last 50 starts." However, I have no record of disconnecting my battery. My battery is only about two years old and in good condition. Could P1684 also indicate a poor electrical connection or another electrical issue affecting the battery? Is it possible that a loose terminal, corroded cable, or faulty wiring could trigger this code even without actual disconnection? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and help.
