2001 Honda Civic LX P1298 Diagnostic Code with SRS Light On
I own a 2001 Honda Civic, and recently the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) light has come on. Initially it blinked intermittently, but now it is permanently illuminated. Using an OBD2 scanner, I retrieved only one diagnostic trouble code: P1298. After reviewing various forums and troubleshooting guides, I checked several fuses located both under the hood and inside the steering column. I specifically tested the SRS fuse, which appears to be intact and functioning properly. Given this, what could be causing the SRS light to stay on? Could a faulty ELD (Electronic Latch Device) trigger this issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
