2001 Chevy Blazer 4.3L Check Engine Light: MAF and VAF Fault Code Recurrence
I own a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer with a 4.3L engine and have reached 111,000 miles. Recently, the check engine light activated unexpectedly. I took it to Advance Auto Parts for diagnostics, which identified fault codes related to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) and Vacuum Air Flow (VAF) sensors. I removed and cleaned the MAF sensor, then reset the system. The vehicle appeared to run smoothly after that. However, today while driving on the highway, the check engine light came back on. This suggests a recurring issue. Can anyone provide insight or troubleshooting steps for this specific fault code combination in my 2001 Chevy Blazer? Any advice on whether I should inspect the VAF sensor, check for vacuum leaks, or consider other potential causes would be greatly appreciated.
Are you seeing the same MAF and VAF codes, or have new fault codes appeared since the reset?
