I have a 2000 VW Beetle 1.8L Turbo and am currently seeing the P1127 diagnostic trouble code. Can anyone explain what this means and how to fix it? I'd appreciate any guidance on troubleshooting steps or potential causes. Thanks, Eddie

P1127 indicates a long-term fuel trim issue in Bank 1, where the engine control system detects an overly rich air-fuel mixture (17535). This could be caused by a clogged or faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. I recommend checking and cleaning the MAF sensor. Additionally, monitor the oxygen sensors to assess their performance and ensure proper feedback loop operation. Fuel pressure should also be checked as it may contribute to the rich mixture condition. Good luck — please update if you find a resolution or experience any further issues.
