2000 Ford Lightning P0171 AND P0174
Replaced MAF Replaced fuel filter Replaced all coil packs Replaced EGR Checked O2's on both sides. Voltage is good Checked all vacuum hoses Used X2 cans carb cleaner to check for Vac leaks. Nothing found. X2 Smoke tests. No vac leaks found. Replaced PVC Inspected PVC elbow behind intake manifold. Fuel pressure test done. Tests good. PROM reprogrammed with latest FORD software. Battery disconnected to relearn X2 cans Seafoam fuel system treatment 1 bottle fuel injector cleaner Sprayed the IAC in cleaner Nothing has resolved the issue ------------------------------------------ Long term fuel trim maxed at %25 both banks. Video of OB2 scanner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiK62gM3mfE Minor improvement on fuel trim with idle increase or decrease but not much. Taken to three mechanics now with all three coming back to say they have no idea what's wrong with the truck. ------------------------------------------ No other symptoms. Truck idles good. No hesitation on accel. No stumbling in WOT. Truck still has a ton of power. ------------------------------------------ P0171 and P0174 keep coming back within 5 to 10 mins of clearing codes. Truck is sucking back gas like a battle tank. The only other code I get is from an I/M readiness test on the OB2 that says test $21 fail. I can't find any info on what this means. Please help!!!!! I'm slowly going crazy and broke.
it would be nice to look at mode 6 data....need a scan tool with that capability...$21 isnt going to tell you anything.there is tids and cids....test ids and components ids.what are your 02 sensors doing?your fuel trims are little better at idle?have to watch you dont kill your cats.most of the time dirty maf/low fuel pressure/vacuum leaks.take for a test drive and at wot look at your 02 and see if it goes full rich.can you graph 02 sensors?if it doesnt disconnect maf and see what happens.fuel pressure good snap throttle?no bleed down?
