2000 Ford Focus 1600cc, P0122
After doing all the obvious things I checked the wiring to the tps I got a reading of 4.9volts the voltage should be 5.0v to 5.1v would this make much difference if yes I know what I must do if no I don't no were to go next...cheers
the sensor has 3 wires. a reference voltage @5 volts - A ground circuit THE SIGNAL return to PCM - this is the issue, center wire at connector. what is voltage at idle? slowly open throttle what is WOT wide open throttle voltage? low voltage reading at idle. you want a smooth voltage change as the throttle moves.. tapping on the sensor with back of screwdriver simulates engine operating and is a easy test for intermittent.
