2000 Dodge Dakota Check Engine Codes 185 and 45-5: Truck Dies Suddenly, Low MPG, Water Light Flashes

My 2000 Dodge Dakota is showing persistent fault codes 185 and 455. Although the check engine light is not illuminated, my truck frequently dies unexpectedly. The water temperature warning light comes on intermittently, but the engine light does not come on. The vehicle runs fine for several days before suddenly stalling—after waiting about 5 minutes, it often restarts successfully. I'm also experiencing extremely poor fuel efficiency at only 13 MPG, which is far below what a V6 engine should achieve under normal conditions.
