2000 Chevrolet Blazer P1345 Code: CKP-CMP Sensor Correlation Issue After Replacement

Model: 2000 chevrolet blazer Fault Code: P1345 Posted: 2016-03-03 10:48

I'm experiencing a return of the P1345 diagnostic trouble code on my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, even after replacing the sensor in December. The vehicle has a stock 4.3L engine with no aftermarket modifications. The P1345 code indicates that there is a correlation issue between the Crankshaft Position (CKP) and Camshaft Position (CMP) sensors — not necessarily a failed part, but rather an inconsistency in sensor timing. I'm wondering if this could be related to improper relearn procedures after the sensor replacement. Could someone confirm whether a CKP sensor relearn procedure was performed? Also, is there a way to use an OBD2 scanner to check camshaft offset and adjust it within ±2 degrees to resolve the issue?

I'm guessing you're referring to P1345. This applies to a stock 4.3L engine with no aftermarket parts. Could you clarify which sensor was replaced? Did you perform a CKP relearn procedure? Importantly, the P1345 code does not indicate a failed component — it shows a correlation issue between the CKP and CMP sensors. Using an OBD2 scanner to check camshaft offset and adjusting it within ±2 degrees may help restore proper sensor alignment.
