My 1999 Plymouth Neon (115,904 miles) has been well maintained with a new battery and fresh belts. However, the recent inspection failed due to Diagnostic Trouble Code P1492 — indicating the battery temperature sensor voltage is too high. I'm looking for a reliable solution to resolve this issue. Does this code directly cause OBD-II readiness failures such as Catalyst Not Ready, Evaporative System Not Ready, Oxygen Sensor Not Ready, Oxygen Sensor Heater Not Ready, and EGR System Not Ready?
